As I was researching more about Chinese Adoptions I came across a Poem and an ancient Chinese Belief that were so touching they made me ball my eyes out!

The Gift of Life
I didn't give you the Gift of Life, but in my heart I know
The Love I feel is deep and real,
As if it had been so.
For us to have eachother is like a dream come true!
No, I didn't give you the Gift of Life, Life gave me the Gift of You.


an ancient Chinese belief....
When a child is born, invisible red threads extend from the child's spirit and connect to all the signifigant people who will be part of the child's life. As the child grows, the threads shorten, drawing closer those people who are destined to be together.

It's stuff like this that makes me wish we had our 3rd little daughter Already so we could give her a huge hug and kiss!
